Hi everyone! I'm Cedar! I'm three years old, my favorite color is pink and I loooove french fries and sparkly dresses and dancing. The other day I got a very special gift: Chloe the Bunny!

Chloe is cute like me and she loves pink too!

My mama told me that she was handcrafted by female artisans in Peru and distributed by the family-run company, cuddle + kind. I don't know what all that means but I...ok. Look at my boots!


My mama also said that for every doll that is purchased, cuddle + kind gives 10 meals to school-children in need through their partners, World Food Program USA and Children's Hunger Fund.

It makes me very sad that there are children who don't get enough food to eat. Sometimes the only time they get to eat is at school because their families don't make enough money.  Cuddle + kind and those other charities try to make sure that meal is a good meal!

Not only do they help feed children in need, they also pay the Peruvian artisans who make the dolls good money! Sometimes people in other countries don't get paid very much for their hard work and that's not fair. Mean people hire them to make their stuff and only pay them a little bit of money so they can sell the product for a lot of money and keep it all for themselves. That's not very nice because if the workers don't make enough money then they can't buy food and clothes for their families.

When children in poor countries get a free meal at school, they are more likely to attend classes and their grades go up because they feel much better with food in their tummies!
