ME: You know that silver necklace with the coins you have that I love so much?
ME: I'll give you $10 for it.
ME: I only have $10 on me.
YOU: No dice. My sister bought me this necklace in India.
ME: Hmm... I'll clean your bathroom for it?
YOU: Hot diggety dog! It's a deal!
And that's called bartering.
Bartering is the exchange of goods or services for other goods or services without using money and folks have been doing this for eons as a way to obtain the goods they need without money.
Launched in January 2016, Simbi is a marketplace where people can barter skills and services online and there are over 250,000 different services to choose from including ballroom dancing lessons, manscaping tips, event planning, graphic design and even advice on raising chickens. On Simbi you can exchange services with other members or offer to “pay” them for their time using points you've earned.
▲Wait, points? I thought we're bartering here.
You're not always going to find the service you're looking for on Simbi, so instead of doing services in exchange for another, you can perform your tasks for points and use those points to buy what whatever you're needing later.
Real life example: A woman "bought" my Pinterest account cleanup service in exchange for 35 points. I used those point to buy myself a sweet caricature (picture coming soon).

After joining Simbi you'll receive 50 points for just signing up. You'll then have the opportunity to earn more points by "selling" services, spreading the word of Simbi and referring friends.
And best of all: THERE'S NO MONEY INVOLVED.
