St. Patrick's Day is coming up soon. Time to get your green bling! But before you get started let me give you wee bit of a run down about why we wear green on St. Patrick's Day:
It is said that blue was originally the official color of St. Patrick's Day but over time green took over in popularity due to Ireland's nickname as "The Emerald Isle", the green in the Irish flag and clovers. And what's up with the clovers? Well, St. Patrick used clovers in his teachings about Catholicism to explain the Holy Trinity to the pagans. Once leaf of the clover represented the Father, another the Son and another Holy Spirit.
The more you know!
Now on to the goodies!
May your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you
Wherever you go.
